MEET (Münster Electrochemical Energy Technology) Battery Research Center at the University of Münster is one of the foremost battery research centers in Germany and one of the leading drivers of top-level research internationally. With the aim of helping the urgently needed turnaround in the energy and transport sectors to succeed, the research at MEET covers the optimization of the market-dominating lithium-ion technology, the further development of other materials, and promising new approaches such as solid-state batteries. Specified on new and advanced materials, cell production and the recycling of battery cells, MEET scientists research into higher energy densities, longer lifecycles, maximum safety, improved sustainability and the lowest possible costs for energy storage systems.
